Alex is stranded in a cold, unfriendly, alien city. He doesn't speak the local language, he's been dumped by the love of his life and he's run out of money.
Seeking refuge from the subzero winter and the violent streets, he crashes in an abandoned flat on the bad side of town. The days blur into weeks as Alex loses himself in cheap vodka mixed with a deep, dark depression.
Then he discovers the Tik-Tok Man, a weird 'businessman' living in the room at the end of the corridor.
Alex enjoys this diversion from his pathetic existence, he slips into a bizarre fantasy world where he is a Cold War spy; he watches the Tik-Tok Man closely, he films him and writes detailed surveillance reports about his every movement.
Then Alex realises that the Tik-Tok Man cannot possibly be human.
Alex doesn't know that the Tik-Tok Man is a ruthless killer who has been watching him all this time. Who is watching who?
Alex tries to prove this madness to the police.
And that's when the shit really hits the fan.
This is 'Rear Window' on crack; a bizarre fusion of David Lynch and Quentin Tarantino. And then some.
One industry profeesional who read this screenplay was plagued by nightmares for several weeks.
